Robert Theisen is a financial advisor with more than 28 years of experience. With a background in accounting, he weaves tax planning into clients’ financial and investment strategies, determining opportunities for mitigating unnecessary taxes. While he works with clients of all ages, he specializes in assisting pre-retirees and retirees with retirement planning services, from creating a steady stream of income to 401(k) rollovers.
Robert first started his career in accounting in 1979, first working with the national accounting firm, Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), for several years before founding his own tax practice. Realizing a number of his clients also required financial and investment advice, he became a financial advisor, adding investment services to his firm’s offerings in 1992.
Robert holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 securities registrations and has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington. As a Certified Public Accountant/Personal Financial Specialist (CPA/PFS), he is a CPA with both extensive tax and comprehensive financial planning knowledge. The PFS is a specialized designation only given to CPAs who specialize in helping individuals plan all aspects of their wealth, including financial services. He is also a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), which means he is qualified to meet the multi-faceted needs of older adults and their families.
Outside of the office, Robert enjoys staying active, playing racquetball and golf. A father of two daughters, much of his time is spent shuttling them to choir practice and attending their many school events.
